Akinturk Ltd started its business life as an Opet gas station in Bornova Izmir in 1997.
In the year of 2000, the company also started sea bunkering in Turkish coasts and started transit fuel trade in Turkish free trade zones.
In 2003,Akinturk started domestic full truck and partial land transportation business with its own transport fleet.
In 2004, due to the increase in its sea trade volume, Akinturk purchased its oil tanker MT AKINTURK 2 with a capacity of 850 Dwt.
In 2005, Akinturk started fuel whosaling for its prestiguous customers in the Aegean region.
In 2007, Akinturk became the main distributor and seller of Opet car recognition and automated paying system (Otobil) in Turkey’s Aegean region.
With addition to all these fields, Akinturk is the Turkey representative of prestigious foreign firms producing tank equipments , mooring and berthing systems for fuel supply industry and refineries
